Rockville, MD, January 5, 2010 – VIVA Creative (vivacreative.com), a global experiential communications agency focused on content creation, live event marketing, virtual events, and mobile content delivery, today announced its second year supporting the 2010 Orange Bowl Festival, a series of community focused sporting events and activities, culminating in the annual FedEx Orange Bowl college football tournament. The first Orange Bowl game was held in 1935 with the mission of bringing tourism to South Florida through an annual football game and festival, which today attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the area with significant economic impact.
In addition to the much-anticipated game, this year’s Orange Bowl Festival included two key events held the day before game day.VIVA produced both the AvMed Orange Bowl Coaches Luncheon, a sold out VIP event featuring interviews with the head coaches and star players from opposing teams, and the Orange Bowl Fan Fest, an outdoor festival held in downtown Miami with live performances by local artists in addition to a major headliner act, the Grammy award winning band Kool and the Gang.
VIVA worked closely with the Orange Bowl Committee in the planning and production of both of these key Orange Bowl Festival events. The objective overall was to build excitement for the upcoming game while focusing on South Florida and its diverse, vibrant community.
