Rockville, MD, March 10, 2010 – VIVA Creative (vivacreative.com), a global experiential communications agency focused on content creation, live event marketing, virtual events, and mobile content delivery, today announced that it provided live event production services to Discovery Communications for an exclusive premiere screening of the Discovery Channel and BBC co-produced documentary series, “LIFE”.

VIVA worked closely with Discovery in the planning and execution of the invitation-only gala event which was held on March 10, 2010 at the historic Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C.

The all-new 11-part series will debut to the public at 8 p.m. on March 21st over seven Discovery Communications U.S. networks, including Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Science Channel, Investigation Discovery, Planet Green and Discovery Health Channel. Narrated by Oprah Winfrey, “LIFE” explores the adaptability and diversity of life on Earth, and was created by the makers of the highly acclaimed documentary “Planet Earth”.

The gala premiere included comments by Ahmed Djoghlaf, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, Discovery Communications CEO David Zaslav, and Discovery Channel President & General Manager W. Clark Bunting. The high-definition screening was accompanied by a live performance by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Mark Watters and scored in time to the documentary episode.
