AIPAC Policy Conference 2020

Building Policy Conference

Bringing together over 18,000 American activists, the annual AIPAC Policy Conference focuses on strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship.

For the sixteenth year in a row, VIVA Creative has partnered with AIPAC to provide on-site show production, content creation, and creative services. All in service of engaging attendees across a multitude of experiences, including five general sessions, several breakout sessions, and an interactive exhibit hall called “AIPAC Village”, all within the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Inspiring Content

Highlights of this year’s conference included live show elements and inspiring videos produced by VIVA. They included the emotional recognition of Holocaust survivors and their U.S. Army liberators, a short documentary film about an Ethiopian man that helped nearly 900 Jews escape to Israel in the 1980s, a military strategic brief by Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus of the Israeli Defense Forces, and speeches by over a dozen U.S. elected officials, including Vice-President Pence, Former Vice-President Joe Biden, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. There were also the Heads of State from Estonia, Serbia, Columbia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Hybrid Event Innovation

With the ever-changing nature of political activism, each year provides new challenges and opportunities to help with the mission of AIPAC. This year, due to elections in Israel, the Prime Minister of Israel was unable to physically attend the conference. Instead, he was invited to speak remotely from Jerusalem. VIVA developed an innovative two-way hybrid communication solution. The PM was able to hear and see audience questions, which he answered live in an exceptional example of hybrid engagement.

VIVA also orchestrated a global hybrid town hall forum which connected experts from around the globe in one on-stage, live conversation. Using the latest fiber networks and technology, a live moderator based in Washington, engaged with four remote panelists in a seamless hybrid conversation.
